For the past month, Angela has been the “live-in” carer for my 82-year-old wife following her return home after a spell in the local Hospice. Before Angela’s arrival my wife, Janet, had expressed her intense dislike at the thought of having, as she put it, “a stranger living in my house”. It is to Angela’s credit that my wife no longer holds this opinion. Angela is no longer a stranger but is now a valued member of our household who has shown herself to be a trustworthy, capable, industrious and affectionate carer. The sounds of laughter coming from Janet’s room, when Angela is helping her, testify to the rapport which Angela has established between them. When I thanked her for the care which she gives Janet she replied that she was happy to provide the same sort of care that she would give to her mother who is of a similar age. She has endeared herself to our children and to the friends and neighbours who come to visit.
This is to thank you and your team for arranging post-operative care for me at short notice. It was arranged efficiently and in a friendly manner by everyone I came in contact with. My carer was sensitive to my needs and greeted my visitors with great courtesy. I would have no hesitation in asking your company to look after me, or my family, in the future should the need arise.
